Unvired Mobile Apps for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8
Unvired has already developed several business apps for Windows 8 running on tablets. These are for business functions including Field Service, Sales, and Workflow for activities like Purchase Order Approvals. In addition, Unvired has an Analytics mobile app that can be downloaded from the Windows Phone store. These mobile apps include:
Unvired Field Service: This app enables field technicians to perform asset maintenance by taking equipment measurement readings, enter time and material for work orders, map their routes, capture pictures, do quality audits, and design new projects.
Unvired Workflow: This app enables supervisors to approve Purchase Orders, Purchase Requisitions, Leave, Travel & Expenses, Shopping Cart Requests, and other workflow documents.
Unvired Sales: This app enables salespersons to manage their accounts more effectively, view product information, and create sales orders.
These apps leverage the features of the new Windows user interface allowing users to easily interact with SAP data.
“Unvired recognizes the enterprise footprint of Microsoft, and we will fully support the Windows 8 platform,” said Alok Pant, CEO of Unvired. “We are working with our customers like WEL Networks to fully leverage Windows 8 and develop mobile apps to transform business processes.”
“At WEL Networks we are always looking at innovative ways to deliver Best in service, Best in safety. The original trial was extremely successful and it gave our Executives and Senior Managers hands-on experience with the Unvired application before we selected Unvired and Cirrotec as our mobile solution providers” said, Mike Lamb, Group Manager Information Services, WEL Networks. “Having the ability to approve purchase orders away from their desks simplified and streamlined the PO approval process, driving commercial efficiencies. In addition to initially deploying the Workflow App, we have worked with our providers to develop a custom Windows 8 tablet application for our field workforce, integrating with SAP Plant Maintenance and extending the Unvired Mobile Platform into the core, business-critical processes. The outcomes achieved have been very well received by the team” he added.
